The Nursery at Thistle Cove
The granite boulders and mountain peaks are a feature of the Cape Le Grand National Park near Esperance, Western Australia. At Thistle Cove a cluster of these boulders look like they have rolled out to sea, enduring the full brutal force of on coming waves. A less robust rock would have submitted long ago. A longer exposure shows the waves as a soft ethereal mist and the rocks look like they are resting quietly in the calm. A nursery for the fallen?
